The answer is clear, and yet we sometimes forget it, because in the moment it feels so ordinary, so taken for granted: what stays, years from now, are the people who celebrated with you and the feelings you shared.
The way your loved ones looked at you.
Their goofy laughter.
Their silly dance moves.
The way they made you feel.
The tears that were wiped away… or left to fall.
The emotions you two experienced on this day.
It’s the little things, the ones that happen in between and we don’t plan, the ones we often take for granted and pass in seconds…
I never want to underestimate those in-between moments, because there will come a time when we wish for nothing more than to relive them again.
